We are starting this petition as concerned members of the Fitness First Shepherd's Bush Gym community, to express our strong support for keeping the branch open. This club has been an integral part of our community for the several years, and its closure we believe would be a significant loss for all its members and the neighbourhood.

The Fitness First Shepherd's Bush Gym has become much more than just a place to work out, over the years it has evolved into a space where members have built lasting friendships, found support, and experienced a sense of belonging. The dedicated staff has played a pivotal role in fostering this community spirit, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the doors.

The gym has become a second home for many of us, providing not only a space to train and exercise but also a place to escape the stresses of daily life, allowing us to pursue our fitness goals, maintain our health, and improve our overall well-being.

Losing this club would mean losing an essential resource that has positively impacted countless lives. Not only would the closure of the club leave its members without this essential resource, but it leaves its members without a comparable gym to join within the area. The closest gym situated next to the W12 shopping centre is GymBox, with memberships starting at almost double the price of FF Shepherds Bush. The closest FF is in Hammersmith. Not only is FF Hammersmith too expensive and too far away for many FF Shepherds Bush members, it is already overly subscribed at peak times and not equipped to absorb the members from Shepherds Bush. Furthermore, we believe the Fitness First Shepherd's Bush Gym has established itself as a pillar of the local community.

We understand that challenges and decisions need to be made in the business world, but we ask the Fitness First leadership team to consider the immense value that the Fitness First Shepherd's Bush club brings to the community and re-consider the impact the closure of the club is going to cause. We are open to hearing any suggestions FF would like to put forward in order to keep the branch open and are happy to do anything we can to facilitate the branch remaining open”
