Keep Loving Father of 5 in Canada

The Issue

For the last 31 years, Jaime Carrasco Varela (58) has faced the possibility of being torn away from his family as he faces deportation from the country he has lived in the majority of his life.

He would leave behind his wife (Jamilet 52), his children (Javier 33, Derek 29, Abigail 27, Gabriel 26 and Ana 24), daughter in-law (Saxxon 32) and his grandchild (Xari 2).

The Government of Canada would be further taking away the ability for Jaime to provide for his family, robbing him of the ability to share milestones and create memories, things we cherish most with our loved ones.

He has been a model citizen and contributing member of the community. Volunteering his time to others as a pastor and counsellor all the while working long days and raising a family.

Jaime needs to be granted permanent residency and a path to Canadian citizenship. The Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada, Mr. Sean Fraser has the ability to do so.

If Jaime were to be deported, the government would be taking away a husband, father, grandfather, and part of our hearts.

We have been greatly supported by our family, friends and local MP Mike Morrice. I'm now asking for your help in keeping our family together.

Thank you,

The Carrascos
