Dr Sumudu Silva is the much loved doctor and owner of Willowbank Medical Practice. She has recently applied to be a part of the Fellowship Support Program with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. This program is necessary in order for her to keep her provider number active in Willowbank in 2023 and beyond. Unfortunately, our cosy country town is considered urban/metropolitan (MMM1) therefore they have denied her application. We are asking for patient support and signatures to appeal this decision and for RACGP to reconsider Dr Silva for their program. If this decision remains the same, we will lose Dr Silva from Willowbank Medical Practice as she will be forced to move rurally or remotely to practice.
