The Issue

The Korean War Veterans Parkway is a residential roadway that runs alongside Staten Island homes, schools, parks, and neighborhoods.

We are asking our elected officials to keep commercial traffic off the Korean War Veterans Parkway and protect the quality of life of the families who live nearby.

Opening this parkway to routine commercial traffic would bring concerns about increased noise, congestion, pollution, safety and other problems in communities that were never designed to be a commercial corridor.

We understand Staten Island has transportation challenges, but the answer should not be turning a residential parkway into a commercial route.

The Korean War Veterans Parkway should remain a safe commuter roadway for the communities it serves.

Join us in asking our leaders to protect the Korean War Veterans Parkway and keep commercial traffic off our residential parkway
