Brewed Awakening is a student run Café on SNHU’s main campus. It is home to the Turkey Bacon Sandwich, Crepe Days, and various baked goods. 

On Thursday, April 13th all student workers (including student managers) were notified via email that their café would be shut down. ONE day before they close for the semester. ONE day before they close for good. 

Students were not spoken to in person and not given ample notice to look into other opportunities.

This semester, Brewed Awakening has had a record breaking year for sales. They’ve been doing pop ups in different spots on campus, catering, and participating in SNHU community events like Late Night Breakfast. Yet, they are told that students will not want to spend their own money on food next year with the new dining plan.

Students already pay via Penmen Cash, card, or cash. So why is this?

We want to keep providing the SNHU community quality food, coffee, and friendly chats. Something that is not available anywhere else on campus. Brewed Awakening was created as an opportunity for student learning and continues to operate this way, providing real life experience.
