With the announcement of the new Patricia E. Kern Conservatory of Music it is a concern by MSOE students that the color of this building will be gray and not the original blue color when it was held by a private owner. Originally this building was home to many MSOE students during their days at the university. Many current students and alumni will remember that this building was once home to the MSOE Mens Lacrosse team dating  as far back as 2010 till 2022, when the program first began. During its time as a residency for students, this building was known for its welcoming atmosphere and most importantly its BLUE COLOR. Alumni going into their 30s still talk about the times they’ve had at the blue house and it is a shame that these memories will be replaced with a music hall. This small plot of the MSOE campus provided students with an atmosphere that had a resemblance to a true college experience that many miss out in due to the harsh academic expectations of the university. With that being said, in order to preserve the memories of the building in its original lore, the students and alumni of MSOE request that the color of the new Patricia E. Kern Conservatory of Music be changed back to its original blue tone. By signing this petition you are supporting the movement to KEEP BLUE HOUSE BLUE!
