The Baraga Ice Rink is more than just a place to play hockey. It is a community gathering place that has provided recreation, connection, and opportunities for generations of families in Baraga and the surrounding communities.

You don't have to play hockey, have children in hockey, or even enjoy ice sports to recognize the value this rink brings to our community.

We understand that the Village is facing significant costs related to the rink's aging compressor system and future replacement. We are asking the Village to open the rink for one more season rather than taking a season off or allowing the rink to potentially close permanently.

A closure could mean losing a community resource that may be very difficult to bring back.

Give our community one more season—and an opportunity to come together, explore partnerships, and other financial solutions for the rink's future.
