AVID is a program that helps all teens from different economic and social backgrounds discover the passion and resources to go to college. The high school is not only defunding, but getting rid of the program as a whole, simply because they need the teacher to teach a different class. 

Ms. Henderson is an amazing person who helps so many struggling students overcome hurdles set by economical and societal standards. She understands who we are, our concerns, and how to help us. She is stunning at guiding students through the college process.

We feel as if they are stripping us of our emotional support, and make us more uncertain and uncomfortable with the idea of moving on to college without her guidance and support.
