Clinton County Watchdog Group started this petition to KCSD Administration

The Central Mountain Volleyball Team's successes this season have been remarkable! For the past 8 months, they have endured COVID-19 restrictions, such as having to play with no spectators and having minimum teammates on the bench for camaraderie and support.  Even though their game atmosphere has changed dramatically, they still grew as a team and excelled!  The team has the opportunity to participate, win district play-offs, and progress to the State Championship!

The team, which includes 7 seniors are dedicated and have worked hard practicing 5 days a week since August.  COVID-19 guidelines were put in place and they were and have remained compliant with everything.  Now, with the school moving to a remote platform for 2 weeks they stand to lose it all.

We are asking the Keystone Central School Board and Jacque Martin, the district's Superintendent to reverse course on this decision and allow the team to participate in the play-offs.  To throw away all of the team's accomplishments due to a 2-week shutdown is unfortunate, but most importantly, unnecessary.  The numbers of COVID-19 cases within the district are unremarkable and the fact remains that there are zero cases of school-aged children dying from COVID-19 as per data retrieved from the state of PA just today, November 5th, 2020.

The SCHOOL BOARD has the ability to do the right thing and that's what we're asking in this petition.  The team has been through so much.  Let's reward them and their coach by allowing them to finish the season.  Other districts in Pennsylvania have made the decision while being remote to allow the fall sports season to continue and KCSD can do the same.  Let these girls play!
