Realase of Samuel Deet innocent man convited

The Issue

My name is Sameul Deet I am 30 years old. I am incarcerated at the Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore Alabama AIS#264196 I am a father of a 12 Year old Daughter who needs me Here is my story.

I have been in the Alabama Department Of Corrections since the early age of 15 Years Old. I came from a loving family with both parents I am 1 of 5 so i know what it is like to be loved by a family. In 2007 I was 15 years old  in January of that year my mother passed from MS and by Novemer I was facing prison time. The loss of my mother caused me to feel alone and took to the streets for the love that I lost . My mother was the one that understood me and when she passed my world was shattered. I learned the hard way that the friends that I thought where family where really not for me .

When the case was finalized the final out come was me going to Prison at 15 I was given 20 split 5 ( given 20 years but released after serving  5 years followed by probation). This is where my life took a unexpected turn wile I was out on probation I was wrongly convicted of a 1ST Degree Robbery charge which caused my probation to be violated,so I was sent back to prison on the remaining 15 years from my split sentence in 2009 for the violation. Now for this new case I was given another 20 split 5. So if you add this up I am now service 20 years  for a violation I should have never received and a crime I did not commit.

While incarcereated I have used the time to educated myself in any class that was avail  from anger management to SAP( Substance Abuse Program ) stress management and how to controling emotions. These are just some of the classes I have taken I was enrolled in a 6 month program that covered a lot of programs of which I did graduate. Also while incarcerated I did  receive two letters supporting my inocence.

In March 2013  I received the letter from the friend of my Co-Defendents stating that they had planned on setting me up after they commited the robberies. This letter was submitted to the Circuit court of Jefferson county,Alabama as exhibit H keyfact #7

on July 14,2016  I received an affidavit  from the victim of whom lived in  Baton Rouge Louisana.  In her affidavit she stated that she told the detective and the  attorney that she never saw the assailant. She also stated that she  was in a room where the detective  left and he left a photo of me in a file open for her to see, and she feels  she was influenced by that photo. She also said she is greatful to the prosecutors for trying to ensure her saftey but not at the expence of Mr.Deet Life. She said if his conviction was successful only because of her statement then please let it be know it was a tainted identification . Now this affidavit was filed in the Baton Rouge  State Court.

I am not the 15 year old child  that was sentenced to prison back in 2009. My life is on the line everyday in here ,trying to help some one who was in danger I was stabbed in the chest. Social distancing is not inforced and we are all on top of each other with Covid-199 running ramped . I am just asking for justice to please step foward and see that I was placed in this prison because they wanted to make an arrest. I am asking  for anyone who understands and feels I deserve to retuen home to my daughter and family that needs me to please sign this petition. Thank You
