I want to go back to school as much as everyone. But like some people my parents are high risk so it is less likely for me to be able to go. I don’t want to get sick and I don’t want to infect anyone.We all know that COVID in Texas is terrible right now. KatyISD wants to open schools and some people will/are considering going back. This makes it more likely for them to get Corona/spread it. If we go back more people will get infected and we will put ourselves, families, friends, and teachers in danger.  I’m calling for KatyISD to require all students going back to take the test for COVID. If they test negative they are allowed to go back to school, if they test positive they must stay home. I believe this will help slow the spread of the virus and protect all students who are going back. I know that it is difficult to get tested and it is a chore but it is the only way to protect us. If the time is right, we must try to get the vaccine as well so we are less likely to get it. I believe this is the ONLY WAY we should be able to go back to school. We must protect our family, friends, and teachers from the virus. So if you can, get tested and get vaccinated for COVID.
