Stop Katy Isd strict dress code
So all the schools in Katy ISD have a strict dress code, stating that we can not wear shorts, or skirts, or rips in our jeans unless they are under our finger tips. We can not wear any shirts that show any part of our stomach. We shouldn’t have to hide ourselves during school, we should be able to express ourselves and not only outside of school but in school. I understand if some clothing is a bit too much but we should at least be able to wear the bare minimum shorts and crop tops, ripped jeans. (That are appropriate) The teachers have so much other thing to worry about than what we are wearing and if our shorts are too short or we have a rip in our jeans that is on our upper thigh. We have volleyball uniforms that have short shorts, and they don’t care about those, yet they care about what we wear during our academic classes. I think the Katy ISD school board needs to do some changes on their school dress code. Their are so many styles out now that girls and guys would love to wear to school and express their creativity and what they like but we can’t wear that to school. Which is where we are most of the year. Girls get targeted for what they are wearing every day all over Katy ISD. And it is rude and unfair for us because we should be able to express our way of style in a appropriate way. Not with a dress code
