Many of us model railroaders in HO and N scale have wanted amtrak surfliner cars. We have never got them, or even a consideration from any big manufacturer. For some of us modelers and railfans on the west coast, these railcars are even an important part of our culture. There are already surfliner cars in the less popular z scale, why not n or ho scale? We trust Kato's products in model railroading for their high quality, and we have already bought many of their products. They have already produced many other regional commuter trains, as well as amtrak superliner cars which are similar but far from the same as surfliner cars. We would like Kato to take this last step and please produce these railcars we have so painfully waited for. Surfliner cars mean a lot to us west coast modelers, and is probably the most iconic and beautiful passenger train in the western US. As a manufacturer we trust, if you make them, we will certainly buy many from you.
