Schools Shouldn't Conduct Offline Exams Unless Children are Vaccinated

The Issue

Sending children to school without a vaccine is extremely dangerous. The government is acting very irresponsibly by taking the decision to re-open schools. These exams are important but are they more important than the safety and health of our children? One child carrying the virus could lead to an outbreak. Re-opening schools is the same as inviting the third wave of covid-19. Children will find it difficult to wear masks throughout the day and many would not social-distance appropriately. We also have no idea what new diseases they may contract as a result of wearing masks continuously, as masks reduce the flow of oxygen to the body. Even if we sacrifice schools for a year or two, it will only benefit them in the long run. With so many public touchpoints at school, a massive COVID-19 breakout is expected. We must protect our kids at any cost and avoid this. Instead of conducting the exams offline we should follow similar steps as to what the ICSE board has done and conduct this semester online. after completion of the first semester, If the situation is under control and children are vaccinated they can be sent for offline classes and examinations.
