It is Imperative that we represent all genres of black music at the mobo award especially conscious Rap which covers topics which are important to our people and  people in general.

To have conscious Rap played on the same stage as drill would bring balance and would show case that our people are not just about gang culture sex drugs and murder.

Hiphop was created to empower the minds of black people but conscious politically aware Rap is not being given a platform or a stage next to these other genres this is important because it will give people who have not listened to conscious Rap a taste if we can award music that glamorises gang life so why can't we highlight intelligence' political' and health' community awareness and the struggles of our community with conscious rap which is the Foundation of hiphop in the 1st place .

The benefits is that it will open doors for the conscious underground genres and will be a alternative for the young especially to make music with meaning .Also will put platform like like bbc1xtra in a position where they would have to play conscious Rap along side other genres like drill and so on .
