This is in response to the recent actions of sedgwick county vs Hilda Noordhork, in which she was given a light sentence for Beating A dog to death. This has brought to light the need for actions to help protect our pets, they rely on us as humans to provide food, water, shelter, and health care. This massive miscarriage of justice has shown that the state needs motivation to move on this. We need stricter sentencing for those how choose to abuse, neglect or kill animals that are pets. While it is a felony, getting parole for killing a pet is unacceptable.
