Kansans for Medicinal Marijuana

Kansans for Medicinal Marijuana

The Issue

The great State of Kansas has a storied history of being progressive when in comes to change when change is needed.  Before the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920 Kansas granted suffrage to women in 1912, as well Kansas cities separated themselves from other U.S. cities following WWI in adopting council-manager city governments ridding themselves of organized crime exhibited by Tammany Hall and others of the past, and most notably Kansas was at the heart of Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka banning racially segregated schools in The United States.  Now in this time of change Kansas risks being left behind.  This is an important time in our states existence to once again be a leader and represent those who are being mistreated, those who are weak, and those who are dying.  The purpose of this petition is to bring awareness to those who represent us as citizens of this great state.  To bring awareness to them, so that they may know that we want change now or we will bring about change through our votes.  Seriously ill adults should be able to use marijuana if they so chose and their doctor prescribes it.
