• In the wake of yet another unarmed black man being killed by law enforcement. I wholeheartedly believe that officers should be required to carry personal liability insurance to pay for any claims awarded against them. Their reckless behavior resulting in death and consequent drain on tax dollars is ridiculous. Furthermore by paying victims with said tax dollars we are in essence paying for our own lynching. In a great many cases the officers themselves are not subject to any lasting consequences. 

If officers knew that they would be held financially accountable ( because let's face it, legally they are given slaps on the wrist), it could positively impact their behavior and interaction with the community.

Had officers carrying liability insurance been a nationwide practice some of the following may have never been necessary:
