Flooding nowadays had become very common which is a big problem especially this rainy season. Although the government had already implemented some laws and policies or even programs regarding flood mitigation some of it were not introduced properly. Some people still disobey or ignore these policies, but some people were not aware of it. Some factor of causing the flood was also the improper management of waste. According to Asia Pacific Network for Global change Research, flood in Asian cities is said to be the blockage of drainage by improper disposal of solid waste.

With this issue, I wanted to change how the government policies work regarding their flood mitigation methods. I wanted them to properly introduce certain policies that will encourage people to collaborate with the mitigation flood. To be specific, the government should be strict about the proper solid waste management as well as improving the drainage system within the areas that is highly affected with the risk of flood. Instead of spending the fund with certain projects that seem to be useless as of the moment, for instance the road works wherein roads are being fixed even if it's in better condition, they should focus more on projects that could help control the risk of climate change.
