Kaiser has taken away the health clinic for Kihei and South Maui, now the most populous area in Maui County. Kaiser Members now need to drive 45 minutes to the nearest Clinic, versus 5 or 10 minutes. This has health consequences for the entire community and greatly affects the families and especially the children of South Maui. We know our Clinic is under consideration for reopening in the distant future. This is not acceptable. We all joined Kaiser with the understanding that our local Clinic would be available to us we'll into the future for our health needs. We need this to be addressed NOW. Kaiser needs to hear from us in no uncertain terms.
