With the growth of Kahnawake businesses, we have many people from surrounding areas who come here to shop.  We welcome growth and prosperity as well as recognize the importance of our own economic independence and stability, but we must also remain vigilant that our children and families are safe and protected.  Many businesses close their doors at a specific hour, yet we continue to see non-locals spending leisurely time within our community. This petition is to gain the support in the creation of check points at all main points of entry into the village area, as well as Clay Mountains.  Non natives entering between specific hours are to report at said check points.  State their reason for entry and approximate stay.  Further details, will be work out.  All questions and concerns will be addressed.
