Many mono theist religions collect money but only spend a very limited amount on charity.  It is time to remove the charitable status of faith groups in our great nation. Much of the profits of religion is used to promote an ideology that directly incites hatred towards other human beings. No matter what the intention of the believer or faith community there is a recipe for disaster lurking in the churches, synagogues, and mosques of today's world. The belief that a book, or leader,  is completely infallible and holy leads to attitudes of hatred that are reinforced in faith communities. Faiths convert fanatics and take little responsibility for that soul once they have converted. If the godly want to give and help, as their texts say their rewards will be in heaven. No more tax breaks for religions in Canada. The revenue stream created by this taxation could be directly used for non religious charity and social programs or counter terrorism.
