In order to stop the spread of Covid-19 and all future viruses from Asian countries, Canada must immediately stop all immigration from countries that do NOT share Canada's standards of health and safety. Any country that allows wet markets and the sale of exotic animals for slaughter MUST be isolated. That includes general immigration; temporary student influx; birth tourism and real estate investment. We cannot stop all trade with Asia but we can limit imports from these countries of food and medicines that are for human consumption.

Many companies will criticize this move and complain about the potential loss of income but, compared with the cost of the Covid-19 pandemic, this will be a small price to pay to avoid this ever happening again: not just to this generation, but for generations to come. It will be important for politicians around the world, to get on board with this policy and force Asian governments, especially the China Communist Party, to be fully transparent at the onset of any future epidemics.
