Petition for Justice for Kayla Caldwell

We, the undersigned, are calling for justice and accountability for the brutal attack on Kayla Caldwell, a student at Potomac High School, on December 5, 2024. Kayla was violently attacked by several students in a utility closet, leaving her unconscious in a pool of her own blood. This heinous act of violence should not be ignored.

We are demanding the following actions:

1. Immediate Arrest of the Students Involved: We ask the Maryland Juvenile Services to arrest the students who attacked Kayla Caldwell and ensure they are held accountable for their actions.

2. Transfer the Case to the State Attorney’s Office: We request that this case be transferred to the State Attorney’s Office to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation and prosecution.

3. Investigation into Potomac High School's Security and Staff Protocols: We urge a full investigation into the school’s staff and security protocols. This includes examining the measures in place to protect all students, staff, and visitors, and addressing any failures that allowed this tragic incident to occur.

We believe that all children should feel safe at school, and this attack has highlighted serious concerns that must be addressed. We stand with Kayla and her family and demand that justice be served.
