#JUSTICE4ALMIGH Shots Almigh aka Caron Fleming
The Issue
"Help support Caron D. Fleming's fight for justice! Caron, a 30-year-old from Buffalo, is facing serious charges including Attempted Murder and Assault, but claims it was an act of self-defense. On January 6, 2024, Caron allegedly shot three individuals after they attempted to rob him. Despite being wrongfully accused, Your contribution can make a difference in ensuring a fair trial for Caron. Stand with Caron as he fights for his freedom. #JusticeForCaron"
As the music manager of an Griselda / Drumwork artist Shots Almigh aka Caron Fleming who is currently incarcerated, I am deeply concerned about his situation.Shots Almigh aka Caron Fleming, is a talented individual with a promising future in the music industry, has been denied bail and is awaiting trial under conditions that raise serious questions about fairness and justice.
The United States holds 25% of the world's prison population but only 5% of the world's people (NAACP). This disproportionate representation often results in individuals being denied their basic rights to fair trials. In this case, my artist has not been given a fair chance to defend himself against allegations that could potentially ruin his career.
Furthermore, pretrial detention can have severe impacts on defendants' outcomes. According to research by The Arnold Foundation, defendants detained before trial are more likely to be sentenced to jail and receive longer sentences compared with those who are not detained pretrial. This clearly indicates an urgent need for reform in our criminal justice system.
It is crucial for our society that everyone receives equal treatment under law regardless of their profession or social status. Therefore, we urge you to consider granting bail for my artist so he can prepare adequately for his trial outside prison walls.
We also request that all necessary steps be taken to ensure he receives a fair trial where all evidence will be thoroughly examined without prejudice or bias. We believe in our judicial system’s capacity for fairness and equity – let it prevail here too.
Please sign this petition if you believe in justice and equality before law; your support could make a significant difference in someone's life.
