The Issue

I never imagined experiencing the fear of knowing that innocent people are wrongfully incarcerated, especially in a state that upholds 'Stand Your Ground' laws. The recent incident involving Steven Tyler Whitehead deeply resonates with me, as it serves as a stark reminder that anyone could find themselves in his shoes – defending their life and being punished for it.

Steven Tyler Whitehead, a resident of Alabama, currently sits behind bars when, in truth, he should be free. The alarming details emerging reveal that Steven was, in fact, a victim forced to defend himself against a brutal assault. However, instead of the self-defense being recognized legally, Steven has faced unjust charges while his aggressors, Silas McCay and Hunter McCulloch, roam free after placing a measly $6k bond and their VICTIM sits with $333k over his head before he can be free from jail, where he does not belong.

The current narrative unjustly paints Steven as the aggressor. Evidence now clearly indicates that he was targeted and viciously attacked, his response purely a bid to save his life. This should not be the outcome for someone who simply acted in self-defense, especially in a state like Alabama, where the law stands firmly with victims of assault.

Every person in Alabama deserves the right to defend themselves without fear of unjust repercussions. Our justice system should focus on those who incited violence, not those who reacted in fear for their lives. Therefore, it is paramount that the charges against Steven be reassessed and that Silas McCay and Hunter McCulloch be held accountable for felony attempted murder.

Per Alabama Code: Title 13A. Criminal Code SECTION 13A-4-2 ATTEMPT (You all need to read)  how is it that Mr. Whitehead sits behind bars on 3 attempted murder charges yet the statute clear states; 2): A person is guilty of an attempt to commit a crime if, with the intent to commit a specific offense, he or she does any overt act towards the commission of the offense. An attempt is a Class A felony if the offense attempted is murder.

Let’s also speak about liability according to Alabama statute, Accomplice Liability/Conspiracy Statute (Alabama Code § 13A-4-3 and § 13A-2-23):If multiple people agree to engage in or cause criminal conduct and an offense is committed in furtherance of that agreement, all participants can be held criminally liable for the actions of the others, ALL ALABAMA RESIDENTS MUST UNDERSTAND THESE STATUTES.

Let’s look at the Murder Statute and see if it fits this narrative, shall we? ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Alabama Statute 13A-6-2 of the criminal code by intentionally causing a death, recklessly causing a grave risk of death, or causing a death while committing or attempting a dangerous felony. Murder is a Class A felony, and penalties can include 20 years to life in prison. First-degree murder has a minimum sentence of 10 to 99 years or life, with the possibility of capital punishment or life without parole in specific, aggravated circumstances.

Jefferson county, if you have acknowledged that Steven Tyler Whitehead, was in fact, a victim of assault. Per the warrant / arrest on 10/30/25 of Silas & Hunter, You have also acknowledged that the statute per Alabama code, for murder or attempted murder, does not fall at his feet.

Jefferson County, You must also acknowledge all of the evidence and hold every single one of these people accountable for the death that occurred at the hands of a man defending himself, against a brutal beating. Two things can be true, 1. you can have a victim of a crime, 2. And a casualty does occur. That is why we have the stand your ground law and self-defense isn’t it? Because the state acknowledges there can be a casualty when a victim is defending their life?

Stand your ground does not say, “you can’t defend yourself against assault if it’s a misdemeanor” now does it?

All eyes are on you, Jefferson County Alabama. We are waiting for you to prove to us that we can trust the district attorney, the investigators, And every single resident in this state can rest well, knowing if a crime is committed against them in your county, they will truly be treated as a victim and not as a criminal

Death DOES NOT EQUATE VICTIMIZATION. We all are aware, what happens leading up to a death (such as a brutal beating) matters in the outcome. There is not a person in this state that could sit on that jury and find him guilty without a reasonable doubt, of the malicious charges, you so gracefully up charged him on without ever gathering the full evidence. It’s simple, All the defense has to ask after playing every video over, “What would you do if it were you? Imagine this is your child”

Jury Nullification.  I don’t think it’ll make it that far, I’m sure there will be some b.s plea offered to allow the DA to save face. The facts are the facts. USE THEM.

Steven Tyler Whitehead is a victim, not a criminal. We must ensure that justice is served fairly and that our judicial process reflects the truth of the situation. Join us in demanding that Alabama's legal system rectify this grave injustice. We must hold accountable those truly responsible for this act of violence and free an innocent man.
