The Issue

My husband Jonathan Thomas and two brothers, Antwione Parsley and Ahmar Butler known as The Salem 3, was wrongfully convicted of a crime they did not commit. Despite the absence of any DNA, forensic, or physical evidence, and without a single eyewitness linking them to the crime, they were sentenced to 50 years in prison under the No Early Release Act in 2013.

For over a decade, they have been fighting tirelessly to prove their innocence, caught in a legal battle that should never have started. Their conviction was based on jail house informants seeking to get less time on their sentences for the crimes they actually committed and a flawed judicial process that overlooked their basic rights. The impact on our family has been devastating — emotionally, financially, and socially. Living with the loss of their freedom while knowing they are innocent is an unimaginable tragedy.

It's time to correct this injustice and bring them home. Clemency is not just a plea for mercy; it's a call for fairness and truth. The Salem 3 yearn for their rightful freedom, a chance to rebuild their lives and be with their loved ones once again.

I am urging the authorities to review their case with the attention and thoroughness it deserves, taking into account the lack of evidence and the time they have already unjustly served. Everyone deserves a fair chance at justice.

Sign this petition and help shed light on their plight, demanding clemency for The Salem 3. Together, we can make a difference by standing against wrongful convictions and advocating for the innocent.
