Why this petition matters

Started by Selina Meyer

In February 2022, the Department of Agriculture appeared for a surprise inspection at Reynolds Poodles and Doodles in Newton, IL. The mill was immediately shut down after the investigator came upon multiple dead and dying dogs.

Saved by Grace and WILD Canine Rescue split the surviving 35 dogs between the two rescues. These animals weighed half their necessary weight and were matted beyond belief. Every single veterinarian and groomer that handled these animals wrote testimony regarding their poor conditions (over a dozen professionals).

These dogs were incredibly expensive to bring back to life. Every dog had the worst cases of worms the veterinarians had ever seen, open lacerations, rotting teeth, internal infections, and lacked any substantial vet care from their past.

Thanks to a generous community of animal advocates, enough money was raised to cover all of their care. Most of the dogs have since gained weight, gotten healthy, and been adopted to incredible homes.

We are asking for concerned citizens who witnessed the horrors this “breeder” committed to sign a petition encouraging the local authorities to quickly press criminal charges against these villains. They have done nothing but deny, deflect, and lie about their involvement and the condition of these animals. These dogs deserve justice, and we cannot rest until justice is served.
