Petition for Justice for Takeoff: We Demand Accountability for Aiding and Abetting!

To: Houston Police Department, Harris County District Attorney's Office, Texas Attorney General's Office, National Black Justice Coalition, Mothers Against Murderers Association, The Recording Academy

On the night of October 31, 2022, the world lost a talented artist, Takeoff, in a tragic and senseless act of violence. As the early hours of November 1 dawned, Takeoff was shot in the head by an assailant holding a Chuckii doll, and as he turned to react, he was struck fatally by a second shooter, Cameron "Lil Cam" Joshua, wearing a yellow hoodie. Witnesses claim that Jas Prince Jr. walked over Takeoff's body without any regard, as if he was merely trash, and displayed an alarming indifference to the loss of life.

This crime was not just a singular act of violence; it was a breach of duty by those present that night. Individuals close to the scene must be held responsible for aiding and abetting this heinous act by not coming forward or taking action when justice was needed most. The inaction of those who fled after witnessing this tragedy speaks volumes about the culture of violence and silence that must be broken.

Nearly three years have passed, and Takeoff still does not have the justice he deserves. We demand accountability for not only the shooters but also those who enabled this crime through their silence and indifference.

Call to Action:

We hereby demand that:

1. Immediate Investigation: Law enforcement must investigate all individuals connected to the crime, including but not limited to:

   Each person's involvement must be scrutinized under the legal codes pertaining to Aiding and Abetting. Those who assisted, witnessed, or chose to remain silent need to be held accountable as accessories to the crime.

2. Public Accountability: We demand that these individuals be brought forth to answer for their actions or inactions publicly. Justice for Takeoff includes ensuring that those who aid and abet violent acts face the legal consequences of their choices.

3. Community Support: We implore our community and supporters to sign this petition and share it widely. Let us stand together and make it clear that we will not accept injustice or indifference toward the loss of life.
