Justice for SEND

Justice for SEND
The Issue
Children, young people, and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) — along with their families — are being failed every day by a system that’s underfunded, overstretched, and often dismissive of their rights.
Families face endless battles for support that should be automatic.
Parents are forced to become full-time advocates, lawyers, and carers.
Young people lose opportunities for education, independence, and dignity.
Adults with SEND face barriers to work, housing, and healthcare.
This is not a matter of “budget priorities” — it’s a matter of justice, equality, and humanity
1. Proper funding for SEND education, therapy, and community support
2. Clear accountability for local authorities that fail to meet legal duties.
3. Access to assessments and EHCPs without delay or discrimination.
4. Support for families and carers, including mental health and respite services.
5. Equal opportunities for adults with SEND, including employment and independent living support.
No more neglect.
It’s time for Justice for SEND — for every child, every family, every adult.
