JUSTICE FOR SADIE, 7-week old puppy who was strangled and nearly died

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Crown Attorney proceed with the charges against Dylan Sardinha as indictable offences and, if Mr. Sardinha is found guilty, recommend the maximum sentence, including a lifetime ban on owning, having the custody or control of or residing in the same premises as an animal or a bird.
On April 14, 2016, a witness called the Ottawa Humane Society's emergency line to say they heard "punching and choking noises and someone screaming at the puppy." Sadie was brought into the Humane Society. She suffered a brain injury and it took her 3 days before she was "back to normal," being unable to even walk the first day.
Thankfully, the Ottawa Humane Society is giving Sadie the care she needs and it appears she will make a full recovery, which has been referred to as a "miracle."
