JUSTICE FOR RHNAE : Arkansas Call to Action

The Issue

March of 2005, the body of 31 year old Jessie Rhnae Kilgore was found dumped on the banks of the White River, just outside the residential district of Des Arc AR. She had been beaten and stabbed to death. 19 years have gone by with no answers for her family, no closure, and definitely no justice for Rhnae.

On behalf of the Des Arc community and Rhnae’s family, I am asking that the Arkansas State and Local(Prairie County and Des Arc) police involved in the investigation would begin to act with intention and transparency. We ask that they either turn over the case files or actively investigate Rhnae’s murder. This should include but not be limited to the following:

1. Regular updates on the case for the family
2. Find and investigate new or old information. This should entail re-interviewing persons of interest and using old and new circumstantial evidence and witness statements to pursue leads.
3. Use updated technology and resources to retest the original findings.
4. Putting new/old information in the public eye so that they may be of assistance if possible.

Rhnae Kilgore was a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend. She should not be a case file collecting dust on a shelf.
