Justice for pets They are not Property they are our Family Members

The Issue

Tell Your Story:
At age 6, our husky dog named Ninja started to have medical issues. We took him to a veterinary hospital in Plains Township, PA. We then learned he had a cyst on his prostate that had to be removed. We agreed to the surgery. Post-surgery, our dog developed anemia and other health issues. We started taking him to other vets in New Jersey and across Pennsylvania. After multiple consultations and vet visits, an internist determined via an ultrasound that the cyst on Ninja’s prostate was never removed during that first surgery. We were lied to, cheated, felt used, gained a financial burden, and not only our dog went through hell fighting for his life but so did our family. As pet owners we’d do anything for our pets but we never thought we’d go through this. We created a documentary explaining our story. We hope you can support us, share the documentary, sign our petition so in the state of Pennsylvania, this will NOT happen to your loved pets also and your pet won’t be treated like property. What is at Stake?
We want to come together and change the law. In the history of the United States, we know change is not possible without the support of others banning together, uniting and standing up for what’s right. We want justice and we want our pets to be able to stand up against Veterinarian Malpractice.

Why is now the time to act?
Ninja’s case is a prime example of what could and has been happening to other pet owners for years in Northeast Pennsylvania. Not only one veterinarian hospital is to blame. There are other stories where other pet owners are unsure what to do or how to stand up and defend themselves. Now is the time to act so this can stop happening to other pet owners. With humans, you have the right to sue hospitals
if you feel something was not right when you lose a loved one but with a pet/animal there is no support or way of gaining justified actions. Many pet owners go in and are told to put down their dog or have improper surgeries with no secondary options. If we can pass a law where dogs are more than just property, we can make this stop today.
