Justice for past and future victims: Urge the Coos County DA to Act

The Issue

I’m calling on the Coos County District Attorney to take immediate action against my ex-husband — a man with a long, disturbing history of sexual and physical abuse.

He has assaulted me.
He has assaulted my daughters.
He has assaulted a former girlfriend.

The Coos County Sheriff's Office has gathered enough evidence to arrest and charge him. Yet the DA refuses to pursue prosecution, citing "lack of evidence to secure a conviction." How many victims does it take before someone listens?

This man has displayed clear patterns of deviant behavior, including disturbing digital simulations involving minors in explicit roles. The sheriff and DA are fully aware of these facts. They know his background. They know his family history — where abuse of daughters has been a recurring, horrifying pattern among the men.

I refuse to stay silent or sit back and do nothing. And for those wondering, ‘How did I not know?’ — my daughters didn’t disclose what happened until after the fact. I, too, was a victim. The moment I learned the full truth, I made my statement and took action. I will continue to speak out and fight for justice — for them, for myself, and for anyone else he’s hurt.”

The system is failing. Survivors are being silenced while abusers remain free.
What We're Asking:
We urge the Coos County DA to:

File charges based on the evidence gathered
Protect vulnerable survivors
Send a clear message that Coos County stands for justice

This is not just about my family. It's about ensuring no other child or woman suffers the same fate — while those responsible walk free.

Please sign and share to demand accountability. Survivors deserve better. How much do the victims need to go through and tell their story over again and be heard?

Key Statistics on Familial Child Abuse in the U.S.:
Parents as Perpetrators: In 2021, approximately 338,747 perpetrators of child abuse were biological parents of their victims.

Family Members: Beyond parents, other relatives accounted for about 30,033 perpetrators in the same year.

Sexual Abuse by Family Members: Over 90% of juvenile sexual abuse victims know their perpetrator, with 34% being abused by family members.

Gender of Perpetrators: Women are the perpetrators of child abuse more frequently than men, accounting for 53.6% of cases.

Sibling Abuse: Studies indicate that sibling sexual abuse is a common and harmful form of childhood sexual abuse, often underreported.

These statistics underscore that child abuse often occurs within the family, making it crucial for communities and authorities to remain vigilant.
