Nykera Brown was 20 when she was murdered by her boyfriend on November 15th 2022 in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. She was a young mother, a daughter and a friend. Once again the Canadian and Saskatchewan justice system has failed another family. 

Nykera was trying to get her life back on track so she could get away from the life she was in. To make sure her little boy could have his mommy back in his life. 

The man who got away with her murder made a false claim about masked intruders breaking in and shot her.  He also stated that it was suicide but that doesn’t add up with what was found at the apartment.  He was free to walk in January of 2026. The judge Justice Heather MacMillan-Brown and I quote from a news article his blatant lying does not mean he’s guilty. Let that sink in. 

Nykera’s mom has been sharing things evidence wise on Facebook. Let me tell you those photos and evidence write ups speaks volumes. I will be sharing some of the posts here as it should be read. The appeal for Nykera was denied as it was stated in an email that the crown is limited by the criminal code of what they can appeal. 

Please let’s sign this petition to see if it can help her mom try to get things rolling again and that her daughter won’t be forgotten and that the justice is truly brought to Nykera and her family. We need to see change in our justice system and this will be a good first step.
