Imagine being the rightful heir to your family home — only to be locked out, arrested for stepping inside, and now facing forced institutionalization for 15 years to life. That is what’s happening right now to Jayson Woolley of Baldwin, New York. Jayson says he inherited his parents’ home in 2022. He has the deed in his name, has paid property taxes, and kept utilities active. Yet after his father’s death (under suspicious hospital circumstances) and while guardianship proceedings for his mother were ongoing, the property was sold to a neighbor under highly questionable circumstances.

Since then:

• He has been arrested multiple times for entering the home he believes is rightfully his.

• His phone was seized by police and allegedly given to neighbors, even though it contained evidence of estate fraud. • He now faces a burglary charge — for accessing his own home with a locksmith on the advice of his lawyer.

• Even more alarming: a judge is trying to declare him incapacitated and confine him for 15 years to life, stripping him of his liberty and inheritance rights.

This is not just about one man or one house. Jayson’s case highlights the wider crisis of deed theft and elder exploitation in New York, where vulnerable homeowners are defrauded of their properties through coercion, guardianship abuse, and forged documents.

That’s why New York passed a new Deed Theft Law in 2024 — but cases like this show how much more must be done.     What We’re Asking For We, the undersigned, demand immediate action:

1. Stop Woolley’s forced institutionalization until full due process hearing are conducted.

2. Investigate potential deed theft and elder abuse tied to the Baldwin property sale under New York’s 2024 Deed Theft Law.

 3. Protect Woolley’s inheritance rights by freezing further property transfers or estate dissipation until fraud allegations are resolved.

4. Ensure transparency by releasing all relevant police body-camera footage and returning/preserving Woolley’s seized phone.

5. Guarantee his right to counsel and protection from judicial bias or retaliation. Why We Need Your Support If it can happen to Jayson, it can happen to any of us.

Families deserve protection from fraudulent property seizures, from courts that silence heirs, and from institutions that strip citizens of their liberty without due process. This petition is not just about one man’s fight. It is about demanding accountability, fairness, and protection for all New Yorkers facing elder exploitation, deed theft, and abusive legal maneuvers. ⸻ ✍️ Add Your Voice By signing this petition, you are standing up against corruption, abuse of power, and the theft of family homes. Together, we can demand that the courts and state authorities do the right thing — protect Jayson Woolley’s rights, and send a message that New York will not tolerate deed theft or elder abuse.
