Justice For Murder Victims

Justice For Murder Victims
The Issue
As of updating this, August 7th 2020, Warwick is a free man. While we focus on many other injustices in our society, I’m still focusing on the injustices Canadian citizens have to live through. Angela’s story is unfortunately one of thousands, and it’s a huge issue. The system is very corrupt, and I don’t see how anyone can sleep at night knowing these murderers are free to commit these horrendous crimes again and again. Many families will never get their loved ones back, so justice is all we have. Currently there isn’t much the justice system in Canada does for these victims. They don’t have the correct penalties put in place for murder. They have very light sentencing. Please keep sharing this story, and others like it. Let’s raise awareness, fight against the corrupt system, and fight for justice, because these victims aren’t here to fight for themselves.

In September of 2006, Angela Gail Harkley was brutally murdered by her boyfriend, Bradley Warwick. The authorities considered it “man-slaughter” because he was under the influence of cocaine when he strangled her to death. She was a mother, a sister, a daughter, a friend. A loved angel was taken from us all. She deserved more. Bradley Warwick, the man who took her life was set free in 2017 for her death, only serving 11 and a half years for murdering Angela. Not even a month after release he was charged for trafficking immense amounts of drugs. Warwick got a slap on the wrist for taking another person’s life. A woman with a child, a family and a future ahead of herself. He robbed us all of her laughter and smile. He will be set completely free February 24th, 2020, as he’s currently serving extra time for the drug charges. For most people that would be a huge violation of parole and you’d serve more than a couple years, but not according to the justice system in Canada. For most people you’d get more than this sad excuse of “justice” for violently taking another person’s life. I’d like to start this petition for the correct justice, not only for Angela, but for other families who aren’t receiving the justice their loved ones deserve. This was NOT man-slaughter, it was cold blooded murder.
