Teachers aren’t perfect, nobody is. So how can a school district justify the punishment of a teacher with pure morals? Ms. Robinson is definitely a character, I would be the first to tell you. We as students learn from her every day, not just about practicum, but about life. She prepares us for the real world by providing us with the appropriate knowledge required in adulthood. Sure she may have snapped. She may have used an inappropriate delivery for what she was trying to say, but that is NO probable cause for a termination of the job she absolutely crushes the competition in. Her exam scores are higher than most teachers and her work has a higher completion rate. There is no doubt that she is a wonderful teacher. Half of GISD’s staff uses foul language directed towards students everyday. If you choose to punish Ms. Robinson for inappropriate language, you punish the coaches, you punish the teachers, you punish the counselors, and you punish the administrators all the same. You will give Ms. Robinson the same LENIENCY and the same MERCY that you provide every other teacher with. This is on behalf of her students and peers, thank you! -JH
