Please sign this petition to attest to the good character of my husband, Melvin Torres. He is randomly being falsely accused of sexually assaulting children, something he could never do. Melvin is a family man, before he had kids he took care of his siblings and cousins. Melvin has NEVER been in any legal trouble and is being targeted, and Bristol police handled his arrest incorrectly. The Bristol Press article recently released is not accurate. Also, he just lost his job due to being in custody. These alleged incidents “happened” right after he had a newborn daughter of his own, and everyone knows he’s all about his kids and has made great strides in life to be able to provide for them so none of this makes sense. I don’t know who would hurt these children but I do know it WAS NOT MY HUSBAND. We ALL know he’s innocent but he’s a Black and Hispanic man getting screwed by a system that doesn’t care about him. So I need your help telling the world he is a good person with a big heart, he’s a loving father of 2 children and hard worker that would never do such a thing. During the pandemic, he worked full time as a medical assistant checking in patients, part time as a delivery person to make ends meet; fed the homeless and coordinated rallies with me for racial and social justice in any free time we had away from the kids. Please sign, write your comments and share!
