A 30-year-old Sikh woman died by suicide after suffering years of domestic abuse by her husband in New York, USA. Mandeep Kaur, 30, committed suicide on August 3, 2022 after she posted a video online in which she spoke about years of domestic abuse by her husband Ranjodhbeer Singh Sandhu. There are additional videos circulating online that show Mandeep Kaur being violently attacked within her own home infront of her young children by her husband. Today, her abuser was able to release her body and conduct a secret funeral without proper consent from her immediate family. We want to highlight this case of femicide and request that the DA of Queens, NYC press charges against Ranjodhveer Singh Sandhu to hold him accountable for his heinous crimes.
