A cop has been charged with an offence relating to our son’s killing and we didn’t know...
We didn’t know because it wasn’t in the police brief of evidence provided to the coroner. We didn’t know because it wasn’t part of their investigation and we didn’t know because no one told us…absolutely despicable treatment from Queensland police.
Bryce Collins was charged with the offence of computer hacking, using a restricted computer without consent, after looking up Luke’s information. He was criminally investigated, suspended pending that investigation and found guilty in November 2023. He was fined $2000 and had NO conviction recorded.
Questions need to be asked…
• Why were we not told about this cop?
• Why did he search for Luke's information?
• When did he search Luke’s information?
•Who did he pass this information to?
His actions are deplorable. He sent a photo of a deceased woman to someone on instagram, which leaves us wondering about what photos exist of our own son and he also used his police computer to look up a woman he matched with on Tinder.
It appears that our concerns about the new evidence we recently disclosed, which have been dismissed, are in fact valid. The cop who killed Luke (Forster) allegedly met Luke’s girlfriend on Tinder and they were messaging for months before meeting up one night in Townsville, after which she rejected him.
We only found out about this news article because it was sent to us by a member of the public NOT from police. We requested the evidence in this case when we found out 6 weeks ago and we are still waiting for a response from police.
This cop is the only cop to be charged so far in relation to our son’s killing. The cops who killed Luke have NOT been criminally investigated, they have NOT been suspended and they have NOT been charged with ANY offence.
We continue to push for an independent inquiry and criminal investigation to hold ALL the officers involved in Luke’s death accountable so please continue to share our petition.
