Justice for local service animal. Keep Bealle safe.

Justice for local service animal. Keep Bealle safe.
The Issue
We, the undersigned, support Amanda in her right to keep her beloved service animal, Bealle. Bealle plays a crucial role in Amanda's life, providing essential support and companionship. Removing Bealle from her care would have a detrimental impact on Amanda and her well-being.
Amanda's ex boyfriend, the individual the court has given Bealle to, has a troubling history that raises concerns about Bealle's safety and well-being. His documented struggles with substance abuse, loss of custody of his children, and criminal background present significant risks that could jeopardize Bealle's welfare.
Amanda relies on Bealle and her other service animal, Frankie, to cope with the PTSD resulting from the loss of her husband to sinus cancer. Frankie is Bealle's littermate, and both struggle to function without each other. Bealle's presence has been a source of comfort and stability for Amanda, contributing significantly to her emotional support and daily functioning.
We urge the court to prioritize Amanda's well-being and recognize the vital role Bealle plays in her life. Keeping Bealle with Amanda is essential for her continued emotional support and stability.
In early 2021, Amanda's husband, Andres, fell gravely ill. He was constantly exhausted, coughing, and his face felt heavy. Despite numerous visits to the doctor, they were told it was just a stubborn sinus infection. After months of ineffective antibiotics, a specialist finally diagnosed Andres with a rare sinus cancer on May 13th, 2021. Tragically, on June 11th, 2021, Amanda had to watch as cancer claimed her husband's life.
The trauma of losing Andres left Amanda with severe PTSD. While the world moved on, Amanda felt stuck in her grief. Seeking comfort, she traveled to Kansas to adopt a dog but ended up bringing home two. With her then-boyfriend, she raised and certified the puppies as her service animals. They brought her solace and stability—until her boyfriend's true nature surfaced.
This man turned out to be a manipulative, abusive drug addict who exploited Amanda for shelter and money. After she left him, he retaliated by stealing one of her service animals, Bealle. Despite having a restraining order against him, the court inexplicably ruled that he could keep Bealle, framing it as a custody issue. This isn't about custody—it's about Amanda's right to her service animal. Her ex-boyfriend, who doesn't even fight for his own children, is using Bealle as leverage against Amanda.
Please sign this petition. Under federal law, Bealle belongs to Amanda. Help reunite her with her service animal and bring Bealle home.
