Tēnā koutou,

a night in Nelson's nightlife turned sour after a Nelson woman was concerned about a man's welfare. After seeing this man on the street, with blood on his face, her group asked if he needed some help.

However, for unknown reasons, Libby was initially pushed, with such force she flipped backwards over a bench and landed on her front. After gathering herself she managed to get back on her feet, just to have multiple blows to the face before the perpetrators mates managed to contain this man.

She fought for justice at the time, walking after this man after countless blows to the face. She was strong and continued to follow until the police arrived.

After hours at the hospital the following day, she was lucky to not sustain bone-breaking injuries, but she did not come out of this unscathed. This in turn leads to a week off work, months of struggling with her mental health, and numerous other setbacks. Not to mention a CUT LIP, BLACK EYE & SWOLLEN JAW.

The perpetrator has now gone with NO conviction, NO record, NO Justice whatsoever. This man is DANGEROUS. THIS WAS A COWARDLY UNPROVOKED ATTACK.

The man had two pending charges for this offence that were dropped, FOR WHAT?

It is so important we sign & share to STOP SYSTEMIC RACISM AND HOLD THIS MAN ACCOUNTABLE.

JUSTICE FOR LIBBY.
