On September 25, 2021, we lost a loving member of our family; Khyri Rice, in a tragic motorcycle accident. 

Khyri Rice was born and raised in Carson, California, where he was actively engaged with the youth in the community. Khyri was a very talented and creative young man. From sports, dancing, art and even fashion. Khyri began repurposing old clothes which led him to start designing just after high school. Khyri then honed his craft as a designer only to start his self-titled label "Khyri". From his label, Khyri launched his apparel brand, Khyri Co. This is the legacy he leaves behind for his loving family to continue. 

In the passing of our loved one, May 25, 2022 will mark eight months since the passing of Khyri Rice. California Highway Patrol of the Southern Division, located in Torrance, California has not yet completed or released the report of the accident. We have been contacting CHP weekly since the loss and the report has still not been completed. 

Generally, the CHP takes seven to ten days to complete a report. In cases where a motor vehicle collision involves a fatality, it may take investigators longer to complete the report, but it has been far too long. There are many cases that are left ignored or disregarded, and we refuse to allow this case to be treated as such. Now we are turning to the public for support. 

The goal of this petition is to urge the California Highway Patrol of the Southern Division, located in Torrance, California to complete and release the crash report. 

My hope is that the release of the report may provide us with the information in the case, which will bring my family one step closer to finding justice and understanding what happened and provide the much needed closure that we need.
