ISSUES WARRANTING REVIEW AND CONSIDERATION OF A NEW TRIAL

We respectfully request a full review of Karmelo Anthony's conviction and the proceedings in Collin County, Texas, to determine whether constitutional and due process protections were fully upheld.

The concerns include:

Failure to Present Potentially Exculpatory
Evidence
Questions remain regarding whether all available video footage, recordings, and evidence relevant to the events leading up to the incident were fully presented and evaluated by the court and jury.

 Ineffective Assistance of Counsel
A review should determine whether trial counsel adequately investigated the case, presented available evidence, challenged disputed testimony, and provided effective representation as guaranteed under the Sixth Amendment.

 Jury Selection Concern

Public reporting indicates that no Black jurors ultimately served on the jury, and objections were raised during jury selection regarding the exclusion of potential Black jurors. These issues deserve careful review to ensure compliance with constitutional protections.

Due Process Concerns
The case received extensive national publicity before trial. A review should determine whether pretrial publicity, public pressure, or community sentiment affected the fairness of the proceedings.

Witness Credibility and Reliability
Any inconsistencies in witness statements, testimony, or evidence should be independently examined to ensure the verdict was based on accurate and reliable information.

Potential Conflicts of Interest
Allegations have circulated regarding relationships, associations, or connections among individuals involved in the case. An independent investigation should determine whether any actual conflicts of interest existed and whether they affected the fairness of the proceedings.

Judicial Impartiality
A review should examine whether all parties received equal treatment and whether the appearance and reality of judicial impartiality were preserved throughout the proceedings.

Prosecutorial Conduct
An independent review should determine whether all constitutional disclosure obligations were satisfied and whether the prosecution's conduct complied with due process requirements.

Newly Discovered Evidence
Any evidence not previously available or not fully examined during trial should be reviewed to determine whether it could have affected the outcome.

Cumulative Error
