Justice for Johnny Hollman — indict Officer Kimbrough and hold him accountable

Justice for Johnny Hollman — indict Officer Kimbrough and hold him accountable
The Issue
A grand jury in Fulton County just declined to indict the former Atlanta police officer who killed 62-year-old Johnny Hollman Sr., a church deacon and father of five, after a minor traffic accident.
Bodycam footage shows Officer Kiran Kimbrough forcing Hollman to the ground, using a Taser on him, and ignoring repeated pleas of “I can’t breathe.”
A tow truck driver joined in, allegedly pinning Hollman’s head and neck to the pavement for over 20 seconds. Moments later, Johnny Hollman was unresponsive. He was declared dead shortly after.
The autopsy ruled his death a homicide. The City of Atlanta fired the officer. The civil service board upheld the firing. The City Council paid the family $3.8 million to settle an excessive force lawsuit.
And yet, the grand jury said no to an indictment.
This is not justice. It’s a failure of accountability.
We are calling on District Attorney Fani Willis to:
- Present the case to a new grand jury immediately
- Pursue all appropriate charges, including manslaughter and official misconduct
- Ensure no one is above the law — especially those sworn to uphold it
Johnny Hollman should never have died over a traffic ticket. His family deserves answers, not excuses. Georgia law allows prosecutors to try again — and they must.
Sign this petition to demand justice for Johnny Hollman — and to tell DA Willis: the job’s not finished.
