We, the concerned citizens, demand that Joshua Davies remains incarcerated for the rape and murder of 13-year-old Jessica Lyons in May of 2000. We believe that his release would pose a significant threat to society and undermine justice for the victim and her grieving family.

1. The Rape and Murder:
On May 3, 2000, Jessica Lyons was raped and murdered by Joshua Davies.  Joshua also beat Jessica's sister with hammer and left her for dead. He plead guilty and confessed to these crimes as a deal with the prosecution to avoid the death penalty and was sentenced to 108 years. These horrific acts shook our community to its core.

2. Protection of Society:
Joshua Davies has demonstrated a complete disregard for human life through his actions. Allowing him to walk free would endanger not only our community but potentially other vulnerable individuals as well. It is crucial that we prioritize public safety by ensuring he remains behind bars.

3. Upholding Justice:
Releasing Joshua Davies before serving the sentence he willfully agreed to would undermine justice for Jessica Lyons and her loved ones who have endured immeasurable pain since her tragic death twenty years ago. It is our moral duty as a society to ensure that those responsible for such abhorrent acts face appropriate consequences.

We urge you, as representatives of the justice system, to consider the gravity of Joshua Davies' crimes and their enduring impact on our community. By keeping him incarcerated, we can protect society from potential harm and provide solace to Jessica's family who continue to mourn her loss.
