Justice for Jason Corona

The Issue

On the night of November 20th, 2022, the world changed for Frank Corona and his family. On that night, his son was killed in Philadelphia.

On that night, a woman was approached by a man in a bar. It’s a story we’ve heard a million times. He didn’t like being told no. He didn’t like being turned down multiple times and continued to harass her. Our society has spent billions of dollars on advertisements and propaganda telling good men to step in when they see toxic behavior (I’m looking at you Gillette). Jason Corona stepped in. He confronted this grown man who was throwing a tantrum because the woman was not interested in him.

Later, while a party of eight people including Jason were waiting outside the bar for an Uber, Frederick Falcon drove slowly by them. He made it to an intersection. If he’d only left, the night would have been over with no violence. Instead, he pulled a U-turn, sped through the parking lot, and struck Jason Corona. He ran him over, then left him for dead as he fled the scene. Just about every news article on this has some variation of “intentionally ran him down” or “purposefully hit him.”

Mr. Falcon went home, lawyered up, and turned himself in at 9 a.m. on November 22. Yes, you read that right. He got a lawyer and waited days to turn himself in. Then, he bonded out and enjoyed Thanksgiving while a family grieved in the wake he left.

On February 7, 2023, at the preliminary hearing, eight of the nine criminal charges were dropped. It was ruled that no crime had occurred except leaving the scene despite there being a video of the horrific act and multiple witnesses.

Charges have been refiled. The case’s new preliminary hearing is June 22nd, 2023.

Show the Philadelphia courts that we care and want this person held accountable.
