Heritage Ajibola Ayomikun was a student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Nigeria who died after falling into a septic tank which unknowing to her was covered by a carton. This incident happened on the 9th of February, 2022 in Bver Hostel situated around the school premises. 

Despite the huge amount of money paid by students to rent spaces in the hostel, it's disheartening and inhumane for the management of the hostel to intentionally leave septic tanks uncovered knowing fully well the danger it poises to the students in that environment. 

Reports have it that a similar incident occurred few years back when one of the same hostel's roofs collapsed leading to some girls sustaining injuries and many others losing their properties.

Sign this petition for the management of OAU to:

1. Announce to the public who the owner(s) of this poorly managed hostel is/are.

2. Setup a transparent panel to investigate why the septic tank was left open, leading to the death of Heritage Ajibola.

3. Setup a committee to routinely inspect, manage and monitor the state of all student-based hostels within the school environment to ensure they are in a good condition, so as to prevent a reoccurrence of such incident.

In addition, the management of BVER hostel must pay a significant compensation amount to Heritage Ajibola's family.

WE WANT JUSTICE FOR HERITAGE AJIBOLA! THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS BVER HOSTEL MUST BE BROUGHT TO BOOK AND MADE TO FACE THE FULL WRATH OF THE LAW. 

This will serve as a deterrent to others who fail to manage their structures well, thus endangering the lives of innocent humans.

WE SAY NO TO A REPEAT OF SUCH INCIDENT IN OAU!!
