We the students at Pomeroy College of Nursing class of Spring 2025, evening and weekend program are uniting to petition for the implementation of a grade curve in our course examination titled Glucose Regulation. This action is prompted by a review of the overall grades of the class for this exam which has resulted in the majority of the class being relegated to achieve the maximum possible exam on the final exam just to pass the class with a 75%.  In comparing the grades from the first semester to now there has been a decline in everyone's academic performance. 

After the first exam the percentage of failing students was around 85% of students were below the passing requirement. This evidence suggests a pattern in worsening test grades compared to the overall performance of the students in the first semester. Our intention is to not undermine the course or the college itself but, to seek a fair assessment that accurately reflects the time and commitment spent on this program. 

Inconclusion we are appealing to the faculty of Pomeroy College of Nursing to consider our petition. Implementing a curve would not only uphold fairness in academic evaluation standards but also recognize the challenges that we have had to overcome just to meet the minimum standards set before us.
